In the first of four semesters of study, the wig and makeup student is provided with the opportunity to gain and develop skills in ventilating while using the materials, tools and fundamental techniques central in creating realistic facial hair. Through instruction and observation the student will identify and reproduce a variety of facial hair including beards, mustaches, sideburns and mutton chops and eyebrows. The student will expand their knowledge by modifying the length and shape of the facial hair through cutting, curling and styling.
