Scenic Art 3 is an advanced course for those who have successfully completed Scenic Art 1 or Scenic Art 2, and who demonstrate a highly advanced understanding of artistic dialogue and creative process. Students will be assigned individual projects imitating historical styles of painting and ornament to be employed for theatrical purposes, including Impressionism, drawings of Old Masters, decorative paintings from Pompeii, Medieval woodcuts and illuminated manuscripts, and Asian painted screens.
