Second semester of a full year course for majors in the life sciences. Lecture: introduction to animal physiology, survey of animals representing the diversity of life; plant and animal structure and physiology, evolution, and ecology. Lab: selected exercises on such topics as excretion, animal, plant anatomy and development, animal diversity, rat dissection, and ecology. Required for biology majors.
