The study and practice of designing costumes for plays in the theatre with an emphasis on process. Play script and character analysis, research and costume history are used to develop appropriate costumes for characters in plays from selected periods of dramatic literature. Students may also study and report on costume design professionals and their creative processes as well as other related topics.
