In this course students conduct a research project that culminates in a written paper and oral presentation. The substantive course material includes an overview of sociological theory and research on the causes and consequences of various forms of urban inequality (e.g., urban poverty, unemployment, and residential segregation). We will also discuss and execute best practices for writing and presenting a final research paper.
