This course considers selected aspects of twentieth-century world dramatic literature. It offers a selection of texts representing a plurality of cultures and inviting students to explore them and their literary conventions. Texts range from existential drama, to theater of the absurd, to new theater movements. Even though the course does not dwell on the theory of drama, students will gain a few fundamental concepts relevant to the understanding of this genre.
