This course provides an opportunity for students to learn about and perform contemporary repertoire with feedback from the instructor and students. The course provides a forum for covering elements of improvisation, sight reading, stylistic interpretation, stage presence, repertory technique and pedagogy. The course also provides students with an understanding of current musical practices in the contest of the historical practices from which they evolved.
