An exploration of reciprocal lattices and tensor properties of crystals; consideration of the impact of crystal symmetry on anisotropy. The influence of defects and grain boundary phenomena on material behavior. Prerequisite: Graduate standing, or undergraduate standing with instructor and advisor approval.
