Stress ware propagation in the earth, dynamic elastic constants in isotropic and anisotropic rock, Hopkinson bar impact analysis, spallation and radial fracturing caused by stress pulses, shock ware generation in rock by explosives, shock ware propagation and effects. Prerequisite: Min Eng 331 or Civ Eng 215.
