A systematic phased approach is presented, designed to increase the level of confidence and accuracy of estimates, moving from exploration through to a "bankable" study. Liability, ethics, resource/reserves, political/social/investment risk, economic parameters, and due diligence are discussed. Prerequisite: Min Eng 270 or Geology 294 or Civ Eng 241 or Eng Mgt 208 or Min Eng 376 or Geophys 382.
