This course is designed for students who grew up speaking Spanish in the home (or students with extensive experience with Spanish as a foreign language), but with little or no formal education in it. The course targets socio-linguistic competence in various contexts (professional, academic, etc.) and prepares students to take upper division Spanish courses, such as advanced courses on grammar and composition.
