A course designed to alleviate the effects of math anxiety and math avoidance. Methods of gaining control over the individual's psychosomatic response to anxiety through knowledge of the factors involved are emphasized. A growing understanding of the student's affective characteristics is coupled with the acquisition of methods to enhance success in mathematics courses. Credit not counted toward graduation.
