This course is designed to introduce students to the critical elements necessary in performing a comprehensive health assessment. Techniques necessary to obtain a health history and perform a physical examination are the focus of this course. Emphasis is on differentiating between normal and abnormal findings. Experiential learning occurs in the college's Simulation Laboratory and assists the student in developing the necessary skills required for performing both a comprehensive health history and physical examination. Prerequisites: BIO 109 & 110 3 credits
