Prerequisite(s): (Matriculated into the BFA in Art and Design: Illustration emphasis) and University Advanced Standing. Pre- or Corequisite(s): ART 2230 or ART 2240. Teaches the processes and techniques used in the execution of children's book illustrations. Emphasizes stylizing, simplifying, exaggerating forms, and organizing pictorial space. Focuses on the art of narrative storytelling and continues the study of media and techniques relative to storybook illustration. May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credits toward graduation.
