For students in the Surgical Technology program. Application of classroom and lab knowledge while working with a designated preceptor on specific goals. Students will demonstrate and perform previous competencies, including dressing in proper surgical attire, performing basic hand washing, handling supplies for surgical procedures, room turn-over activities, operating sterilization equipment, obtaining supplies, creating and maintaining sterile field, performing surgical hand scrub, and anticipating needs of the sterile team. Prerequisite: Admission to the Dixie State University Surgical Technology program. Corequisites: SURG 1050; AND SURG 1055. FA
