Designed for individuals interested in athletic training, physical therapy, orthopedics, coaching, or other physical education or fitness related careers, but open to all students. Includes the basics of sports medicine (prevention of injury, evaluation of injury, and management of injury) and lab component where students have hands-on, field experiences with athletic trainers and therapists. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Describe basic musculoskeletal anatomy. 2. Explain basic strategies for the prevention of athletic injury. 3. Discuss common athletic injuries. 4.
