Description:
Enables the student after successful completion of this course to take the EMT Certification Examination subject to the requirements of the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. Includes written and practical examinations. Student must be at least 18 years of age or permission from department advisor. Students must pass all three of the following courses to be eligible to receive the college certificate for EMT-Basic and to be eligible to take the National Registry practical and written exams: EMS 125 Lecture, EMS 125 Lab and EMS 170 Clinical. Students that do not pass all three courses during the same or subsequent semester will be required to retake all three classes in order to receive the college certificate and sit for the National Registry exams. Appropriate vaccinations, current background check and drug screen required. Nine credits.
