(Formerly: CHE 112 & CHE 113) Presents concepts in the areas of solution properties, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, acid-base and ionic equilibrium, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, and organic chemistry. This course emphasizes problem solving skills and descriptive contents for these topics. Hands-on laboratory experiments demonstrate qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques. This course is a state guaranteed transfer course GT-SC1. Prerequisite(s): REA 090, ENG 090, CHE 111 and MAT 121 or higher. Five credits.
