This course examines in depth the history of the art of the graphic novel. Students are introduced to the origins of the graphic novel beginning in the 1800's through to the present. Discussion will include historical events, evolution of industry standards and current digital media's effect on the graphic novel. Prerequisite(s): None. Three credits.
