Topics include psychrometrics, air conditioning components and processes, thermal comfort, indoor air quality, outdoor design conditions and examples of innovative technologies. Emphasizes the calculation of heating and cooling load in order to size and control suitable HVAC equipment and estimate its energy consumption. Uses both manual and computer methods. Includes one or more site visits.
