Second course in a three-course sequence in algebra. Review of factoring and graphing lines. An introduction to solving systems of linear equations, rational expressions, roots and radicals and quadratic equations. Students must repeat the course if a U, F, or D grade is awarded. Prerequisite: A passing score on the Columbia College math placement exam or MATH 104 with a grade of C or a score of 19 or higher on the math portion of the ACT or 460 or above SAT score.
