Fundamental course in the principles of chemistry. Topics include stoichiometry, chemical equations and reactions, properties of gases, properties of solutions, and thermochemistry. Students majoring in Chemistry must earn a grade of C or higher. Prerequisite: MATH 106 or higher with a grade of C or higher or a grade of C or higher in high school chemistry or CHEM/PHYS 108 or ACT Math score above 22 or SAT score above 5340.
