Fundamentals of chemistry for students entering biological or health-related fields. Topics include stoichiometry, chemical equations and reactions, properties of gases, solutions and electrolytes, acid/base properties and pH, an introduction or organic chemistry, and various aspects of chemistry important in biological systems. Prerequisites: MATH 106 or higher (or ACT math score of 21 or higher); CHEM/PHYS 108 (or high school chemistry course with a grade of C or higher).
