This course reviews the basic concepts, methods and current research in cognitive psychology. Topics may include memory, knowledge acquisition, imagery, consciousness, thinking, decision-making, language and intelligence. These are presented within an information-processing as well as a neuroscientific model of the mind. Both normative and dysfunctional aspects are considered. Prerequisite of PSY 1 or 3 or permission of instructor is required.
