This course will focus on the purposes and principles of measurement and evaluation in physical education and movement science. Emphasis will be geared toward selecting appropriate measurement instruments to evaluate individual and group performance. The statistical procedures required to organize and summarize data will be explored. Laboratory experiences are designed to support measurement theory. Prerequisites of PE 201, PE 255, and PE 299 or instructor's permission required. Prerequisites of PE 201, 255, and 299 are required.
