This course examines the effective participation of information specialists, programmers, systems analysts, and other professionals in vertical, horizontal, and cross-functional teams; techniques for communicating; tools for project management; metrics for benchmarking and continuous improvement; and the demands of various quality standards. The role of the information specialist in striving for world-class quality is emphasized. Experiential learning through team projects occurs in a laboratory setting. (Same as CS 245). Prerequisites of CS major and senior standing are required.
