The physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs, interests, and experiences of children birth through seven years of age are studied as the basis for developing suitable programs and for formulating criteria for the selection and evaluation of equipment and materials. Students learn how to encourage continuous growth and development through the use of appropriate methods, materials, and activities. Ten hours of fieldwork will be required. The use of the technology as it relates to teaching and learning will be integrated into the course work. This course will require a writing component. Prerequisites of EDI 14 and 15A are required.
