This course covers the stages in the information system life cycle and the role of information systems in the workplace. Topics include: information system planning, including analysis of system requirements; formulation of requirements into recommendations; development of a framework for evaluating system alternatives, both hardware and software, that implement these recommendations; and methodologies for system design. For nonmajors. The prerequisite of 9 units of CLA courses is required.
