In this experiential course, students and faculty member will attend one production ( theater, dance, music) , prior to which they will engage in a discussion session with a working arts manager specializing in one of the functional areas of arts management. Topics covered will include: artisticmanagerial dressmaking, fundraising, creative development and production, economic challenges of the arts in New York, audience development, financial management, and the production process.
