Restricted to radio-television-film majors. An introduction to screenwriting for features, short films, documentaries, and television. Lectures explore the basic theory of story, character, and structure. Students write original screenplays during workshop hours. One and one-half lecture hours and two workshop hours a week for one semester. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing; and the following coursework with a grade of at least C in each course: Radio- Television-Film 305 and nine additional semester hours of lowerdivision coursework in radio-television-film.
