Study of the way meaning is structured and perceived in the screen image; introduction to basic narrative techniques. Includes viewing and analysis of narrative examples. Three lecture hours and one two-andone- half-hour film screening a week for one semester. Some sections may require an additional discussion hour. Required of all students in the production area. Students may not enroll in this course more than twice. Prerequisite: Radio-Television-Film 305.
