Review of control volume analysis and quasi-one-dimensional compressible flow. Analysis and design of rocket nozzles and airbreathing engines, including performance and cycle analysis; the flow in nozzles, diffusers, compressors, and turbines; and combustion chamber processes and propellants. Includes an introduction to chemical and electric rocket propulsion. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Prerequisite: Aerospace Engineering 362K with a grade of at least C-.
