NMT 105 - Clinical Experience II

Clinical experience II provides students with the opportunity to perfect the skills learned in Level I. Students continue to integrate didactic learning into the practical setting. During their clinical education in level II, students remain under the direct supervision of certified or registered technologists. Students perfect their skills in the clinic and become more hands on with technology. Students continue to gain experience in general, cardiac, pediatric, and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). Students participate in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and perform QC procedures on gamma cameras and dose calibrators under the guidance of the technologist. 16 hours per week are spent in a hospital/outpatient setting.
