Building on the student's prior knowledge of growth and development, this course focuses on the impact of selected bio-psychosocial stressors on human development. Cognitive, emotional, and physiological growth and development are set forth within the context of critical tasks and crises inherent within each stage of maturation. Emphasis is placed on the second half of the life cycle, and the role of the nurse in caring for an aging population.
