Prerequisite: Introductory statistics course, or consent of the department. Included are categorizing psychological tests, along with their importance. Ethical considerations and use with special populations will also be discussed; statistical interpretation of scores will be reviewed. Reliability and validity will be discussed in detail, along with how to interpret them and make decisions. Information as to development and piloting tests will also be offered. Survey data, as well as the use of psychological tests in education, clinical counseling, and organizational settings will be discussed. Three hours of lecture.
