A course designed to introduce the student to one of several martial arts forms. With emphasis on safety and philosophy of martial arts, students will learn elements of basic skills. The emphasis from among the martial arts disciplines of judo, karate, or other martial arts will be determined by the needs of the class and the expertise of the instructor. Three hours of laboratory.
