An introduction to modern and classical organic laboratory techniques of purification and identification of organic compounds employed in selected experiments that introduce reaction mechanisms and synthesis. Theory and practice of extraction, distillation, and chromatography (TLC, column, GLC). One hour of lecture and two hours of laboratory work. 1 cr.
