Introduces the modeling and making of the best curriculum and instructional practices by future secondary social studies teachers. Introduces future secondary social studies teachers to both the content standards of national accrediting bodies and those put forth by the state of Virginia. This would include the appropriate use of technology, adherence to the Standards of Learning, and Child Abuse Recognition, among other important topics. Writing, speaking, and critical thinking competencies are reinforced and applied.
