This course is designed to provide candidates with the methods,materials and techniques of presenting physical education to elementary school students. Emphasis is placed on cumculum development, unit and lesson planning,developmentally appropriate physical activities, teaching methodology, and legal liability. Candidates will gain a knowledge of assessment and its relationship to the enhancement of student learning and how the results of assessments are used to monitor and report student achievement.
