This course presents a survey of modern psychology as a natural science. Traditional analyses of theoretical frames of reference to psychological phenomena will occur within a larger context of both the major western philosophical precursors of scientific method (i.e., European empiricism) as well as philosophical systems of other cultures. Alternative 'psychologies' which could or in fact have arisen from non-Eurocentric points of view will be explored.
