Major and minor scales for four octaves in parallel and contrary motion. Technical exercises, harmonization, transposition, and sight-reading skills. Selected repertoireincluding Bach inventions, Handel suites, 18th century sonatinas or sonatas; 19th century compositions such as the Schumann Kinderscenen, Mendelssohn Songs Without Words, or equivalent. Performance required in MUSC 112.
