360. FRANCOPHONE AFRICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE. The general aims of the course are to identify and implement instructional strategies and materials that focus on students' understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultural groups in a pluralistic society. The specific aim of the course is to provide an overview of Francophone culture and civilization with particular emphasis on the historical and cultural conditions and contributions of the descendants of Africans. Prerequisite: None. This course will be taught in English, and will serve as a French elective for French majors and minors, and can also serve as a Humanities elective for students university-wide.
