Description:
The goal of this course is to assist teacher candidates in their development as reflective practitioners, researchers, and critical thinkers who have a multicultural and global perspective on the teaching of social studies. As reflective practitioners, the teacher candidates will continuously engage in self-assessment to determine whether their instructional and a ssessment plans are inclusive of best practices that are aligned with the Louisiana Components of Effective Teaching and the state and national curriculum standards as set forth by the National Council for the Social Studies.
