Description:
CRIN 424 us a follow-up to 420. It is designed for candidates to develop and use instructional materials with an activity inquiry laboratory and field base approach: reflection, problem-solving, organizing materials, using technology, developing comprehensive management/safety plans to manage classroom behavior, activities, materials, live organisms, safety in science labs; developing authentic assessment and evaluation measures to determine student progress. Teaching techniques and strategies are content specific (Biology, Chemistry, & Physics). Specific attention is provided in this course to the teaching that relates to National Science Education Standards (NSES), Project 2061, PRAXIS, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), Louisiana Standards and Benchmarks for Grade7-12, and Louisiana Components of Effective Teaching (LCET).
