Description:

This is a methods course in the teaching of young children, (Pk-3). It focuses on direct application of the content of English-Language Arts. Emphasis will be placed on the five components of effective reading and instructional strategies for teaching English/Language Arts skills. All activities in this course will be aligned with state consortia content knowledge for PK-3, specialty organizations, national standards, critical thinking, diversity, and the infusion of technology into all aspects of the curriculum.
