Description:
A two-semester study of statics and strength of materials. Concepts studied in Architecture 216 include graphic and mathematical analysis of trusses and structural frames, properties of sections, shear, and moment diagrams. Concepts studied in Architecture 217 include stress-strain relationships , deflection, safe load computations for beams, columns, riveted and bolted joints, and welds. Prerequisites: Mathematics 130 and 140, or Mathematics 160, Architecture 216 for Architecture 217.
