Interaction between operating system design and computer architectures. Process management, virtual memory, interprocess communication, context switching, parallel and distributed file system designs, persistent objects, process and data migration, load balancing, security, protection. Term projects. Same as CSE 523. Prerequisite: CS 423, CS 425, and CS 433.
