Descriptive statistics (measures of central tendency, variation, correlation). Elementary probability (including binomial and normal distributions and "independence"). Introduction to statistical inference (hypothesis testing and confidence intervals). Prerequisite: completion of ELM requirement. Not open to students with credit for STAT 1000, 2010, or 3031. A-F grading only. Must complete course with a grade of "C-" or better in order to earn General Education, Area B4, credit.
