The writing of counterpoint modeled on the style of Palestrina. Additional work modeled on other 16th century composers may be introduced at the discretion of the instructor. Prerequisite: MUS 3034. The writing of counterpoint modeled on the style of J. S. Bach. Additional work modeled on other 17th and 18th century composers may be introduced at the discretion of the instructor.
