A detailed description of the major classes of biological molecules such as amino acids, proteins, enzymes, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleotides, nucleic acids, and specialized molecules such as hormones and coenzymes. The metabolism of these molecules will be covered in detail. Prerequisites: CHEM 3303. CHEM 4411 is prerequisite to CHEM 4412; CHEM 4412 is prerequisite to CHEM 4413.
